Our story

New on University Ave, in a building the neighborhood knows

Pho Dee-Licious opened in September 2026 in the old China Place building near Drake. Three kitchens under one roof: Vietnamese pho and spring rolls, Lao dishes like khao poon, khao piak sen and laap, and the Chinese classics people around here grew up on.

Where is Pho Dee-Licious?
We are at 2414 University Ave, Des Moines, IA 50311, on University Avenue in the Drake neighborhood, in the old China Place building next to Jimmy John's.
What kind of food do you serve?
Vietnamese, Lao and Chinese, all from one kitchen. Pho and spring rolls, Lao dishes like khao poon, khao piak sen, laap and papaya salad, and Chinese classics like sesame chicken, cashew chicken, lo mein and fried rice.
Do you deliver?
Yes. Order online for pickup or delivery and we bring it to you ourselves. You can also order ahead and pick a time, even while we are closed.
Do you have lunch specials?
Yes. Tuesday to Friday from 11 AM to 3 PM, any lunch entrée is $12 and comes with a fountain drink, a cup of soup, and an egg roll or one crab rangoon.
Can you handle catering or a big order?
Yes. Plan catering with us through our catering page, or place a large order online ahead of time so the kitchen can have it ready.
Do you have vegetarian dishes?
Yes. The Veggie Lovers section has veggie lo mein, tofu and vegetables, kung bao tofu, vegetable fried rice and more.
What are your hours?
